Nationnewslead report that Prince Siyanbola Ladigbolu, one of the leading contestant for Alaafin stool hail from Agunloye rulling house, have paid tributes to the late Alaafin of Oyo, Lamidi Adeyemi III, who died on April 22.
Siyanbola Ladigbolu, in a statement the late monarch was 83. The third from the Alowolodu Ruling House, Alaafin Adeyemi died at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
He was the longest-serving Alaafin, having spent 51 years on the throne.
The statement reads;
“365 days without the commander of supreme Oyo dynasty and the Major custodian of Yoruba culture has showed the pivotal roll alaafin used to play. The imperial majesty Oba Abdul Hammed Atanda Olayiwola Adeyemi the 3rd. The Alaafin of Oyo”.

“May Almighty Allah in his infinite mercy to keep showering his blessings on you till infinity. May your blessed soul rest in perfect peace of almighty Allah”. he prayed.
