Stakeholders in Nigeria have been charged to continually seek measures towards monitoring the efficiency of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA).

The Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) under the aegis of CLEEN Foundation gave the charge at a 2-Day training session of trainers on the Administration of Criminal Justice implementation in Nigeria in Benin City, the Edo State Capital.

The capacity building according to the foundation is also aimed at equipping stakeholders in fast-tracking criminal trials across Nigeria.

Speaking on the importance of the training, the Executive Director of CLEEN Foundation, Ged Peter, disclosed that the capacity building workshop is geared towards ensuring stakeholders are brought to speed with the introduction of a mobile App to promote effective implementation of the ACJA.

” This meeting is part of our efforts at CLEEN Foundation to promote the effective implementation of the ACJA 2015.

“The ACJA Mobile App has been designed for accessibility of citizens to the ACJA 2015 and also to track the passage Administration of Criminal Justice Laws (ACJL) by States in Nigeria.

“And we hope to see that all stakeholders after this meeting will begin to add their quota for the actualization of the implementation of the ACJA in all the states across the Federation”, he noted.

On their part, the participants promise to share and make good use of the experiences they have gathered at the training to ensure that the country’s CJAry is given the needed push.
