The Imo State Government on Friday disclosed that a total of 66,003 people were enjoying the health insurance policy of the government.
The Executive Secretary of the Imo State Health Insurance Agency, Uche Ewelike, said the policy was to ensure that all citizens and residents of the state had access to quality healthcare services.
Ewelike commended the state Governor, Hope Uzodimma, for approving the commencement of the programme for the people of the state.

He said, “From Mbaise to Mbano to Owerri Municipal to Orsu to Okigwe to Nwagele to Oru East to Mbaitoli to Nkwerre to Oguta to Ngor Okpala to Orlu to Ohaji Egbema to the 27 LGAs in Imo State. We have 66,003 now through Imo State Health Insurance Agency accessing free healthcare since 3rd April.
“The governor of Imo State, distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, has done well. This is bringing quality healthcare services to the doorsteps of people of the state. History will be kind to him.”
