

A Fulani Ethnic and Socio-Cultural Association, Fulbe United for Peace under the leadership of Ardo Aliyu Liman Bobboi in collaboration with Arewa New Agenda (ANA) has announced its current move to promote national forgiveness and reconciliation among interest groups in the country.
This decision is contained in a communique issued at the end of its National Leadership Consultative Meeting held on Sunday 6th August 2023, which was attended by the leadership of the group in the 36 States of the Federation and the FCT.

Reading the Communique, the Convener of Arewa New Agenda, Senator Ahmed Abubakar MoAllahyidi, said the “Fulbe United for Peace is in a position as an Ethnic and Socio-Cultural Association to make most effective contribution for national development.
The Communique further read that the Fulbe United for Peace “consciously and strategically mobilised all Fulbe nation and they supported President Tinubu in the 2023 Presidential election.
“Hereby lends its support for all the concerted efforts to bring peace and security in the country.
“Agreed to develop strategies to bring all Fulbe together by using their traditional approach that is deeply rooted in the Fulbe tradition and culture, “Hombudu’. To bring and end to any form of criminality in the name of Fulbe”.
The Communique further stated that the group is “developing a strategic network with relevant authorities for Fulbe youth nationwide.
“Seeking a local workable solution from within and will be reaching out to other interest groups to promote national forgiveness, reconciliation and healing the wounds that have been inflicted on our great country Nigeria.
“Asking government to consult with Ardo’s leadership on issues of policy that concerns the Fulbe”.
