Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Abdul Salam Ayorinde, has commended member of the House of Representatives representing Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode, and Odeda constituency, Honourable Olumide Osoba, for empowering 800 youths, artisans and women in the constituency with N100,000 cash gifts.
Ayorinde noted that the giving each of the beneficiaries N100,000 is a pivotal step in enhancing the welfare of the constituents, particularly who are facing a challenging time.
The beneficiaries of the programme were selected from the three local government areas of his constituency.
Speaking at the empowerment programme which was held in Abeokuta, the Abeokuta North LG chairman said: “We give kudos to the donor. It can only be Olumide Osoba. Since we have been having representatives at the Federal House of Representatives, we have never had someone so generous like Hon Olumide.”
He added that the financial support extended to the beneficiaries stands as a testament to Osoba’s commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of the people he represents.
Other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) present at the event also commended Osoba while noting that the initiative vividly reflects his steadfast dedication to improving the lives of those he represents.
