A recent graduate of the Department of Statistics, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Abdulrahman Abdulazeez, has explained how he started with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.80 in his first year but graduated with a First Class, with a CGPA of 4.53, making him the second best in his class.

Abdulazeez made this known on his LinkedIn page while sharing the challenges he faced in the course of his academic journey at the university, which he noted shaped his life.

He stressed that his academic journey was a testament to the power of resilience, perseverance, and continuous improvement.

He stated that serving as the president of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, UNILAG branch, during his final year, was both an honour and a challenge to him.

“Grateful to achieve a perfect GPA of 5.0 in both semesters, proving that dedication and leadership can coexist,” he added.

Abdulazeez stated that his academic journey taught him how to confront doubts with determination, turn challenges into stepping stones and embrace them as opportunities for growth.

He further stated that every challenge he overcame contributed to a stronger foundation for his success, adding, “This achievement is not just mine, but a collective triumph.”
