

A small earthquake, measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale, hit Malayer in western Iran’s Hamedan province on Monday. This came after the tragic death of President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash on Sunday.
The earthquake, reported by the Seismological Centre of the Geophysics Institute of the University of Tehran, happened at 08:20:52 local time and was 10 kilometers deep.

It was centered 9 kilometers from Samen, 18 kilometers from Malayer, and 18 kilometers from Oshtorinan. So far, there have been no reports of damage or injuries.
The earthquake occurred shortly after President Raisi’s death in a helicopter crash, which has deeply saddened the country. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared a five-day period of national mourning to honor the late president and others who died in the crash.
