The University of Ilorin has designated Olayinka Fafoluyi, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Kwara State Governor, as the institution’s advocate. This honor recognizes Fafoluyi’s exemplary contributions to media and public relations.

At the event, where 23 distinguished alumni were unveiled, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Wahab Egbewole (SAN), highlighted that the University of Ilorin Advocates Unveiling initiative is designed to honor alumni who have significantly impacted their fields, communities, and alma mater. Fafoluyi was recognized for his commitment to excellence, mentorship, and community development, particularly in the fields of digital marketing and public relations.

Professor Egbewole stated that the initiative aims to acknowledge and celebrate these individuals, promoting their achievements and inspiring current students. Through their leadership, expertise, and networks, they will play a pivotal role in promoting the institution and fostering collaboration, thereby enhancing the reputation of UNILORIN both nationally and internationally.

The Vice-Chancellor noted that the role of UNILORIN Advocates goes beyond mere promotion of the university.
