Speaking to newsmen at the end of the event, Mrs Otti said, “This compact is a critical step in the right direction, providing us with a stronger platform to combat gender-based violence in our communities”, adding, “Through this partnership, we are empowered to break the silence, confront harmful practices, and create lasting change for women and girls across Nigeria”.
She expressed her gratitude to the First Lady of Nigeria for consistently championing the rights and welfare of women across the nation, recognizing her as a leading figure in the ongoing efforts to uplift women in Nigeria, and underscoring the significance of the unified action, while emphasising the reinvigorated and collective effort, supported by the UNFPA, to combat gender-based violence across Nigeria.
