The Arewa Youths Coalition, operating under the All Northern Youth Forum, has expressed confidence in the new Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr. Adeola Ajayi, stating that he has the capability to address the security challenges affecting the region and the country, based on his proven track record of service.
The group commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Mr. Ajayi as the Director General of the DSS. In a press conference in Kaduna on Monday, the group’s secretary, Hamza Walijan, stated, “On behalf of the All Northern Youth Forum, comprising over 300 associations, we express our gratitude to Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, for the appointment of Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as Director General of the Department of State Services.”
Walijan added, “The wisdom and foresight displayed in this particular appointment is exemplary. Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, MON, is an accomplished security intelligence officer and administrator who has undergone various trainings in a wide range of areas including management, security leadership, critical thinking, and human resource development, among others.”
“Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, MON has served and headed various offices in the Department of State Services, where he has also had and made tremendous impact in the discharge of his duties. Chiefly amongst which were his time as State Director in Rivers, Bayelsa and Enugu States where he remarkably reduced the incessant oil-bunkery in the region as well as activities of MASSOB.”
While x-raying his various services in Bauchi and Kogi States, the youth forum declared that the new DG of DSS evidently combated and curbed the activities of criminal elements within these states, particularly the Ansar-udden network which consisted of Boko Haram elements.
“Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, MON achieved what was termed impossible; he successfully eradicated the Boko Haram elements within the State, thus, successfully checking the spread of the Boko Haram within the North East and North Central regions; a situation that drew the personal commendation of the then sitting Governor, Alhaji Isa Yuguda.”
“It is important to note that these achievements are not merely statistics but represent real improvements in the lives of Nigerian citizens within these areas and reflect his commitment to excellence.”
