Air Peace Limited has described the recent money laundering charges filed by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) against its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Allen Ifechukwu Onyema, and its Chief of Finance and Administration, Mrs. Ejiro Eghagha, as mere allegations.
In a press statement on Sunday, the airline clarified that the charges are an extension of an ongoing legal case involving accusations of financial misconduct dating back several years.

Air Peace stressed that the accusations remain unproven and reiterated that both Onyema and Eghagha are presumed innocent, with the case still before the courts.
The leading Nigerian airline further highlighted that Onyema has cooperated fully with the authorities throughout the legal process.
The statement also confirmed that despite the developments, the airline’s operations remain unaffected, with staff committed to maintaining high service standards.
The company expressed gratitude to its customers for their continued support and reiterated its dedication to serving with excellence and integrity during this period of legal scrutiny.
