THE General Overseer of Abundant Life Gospel Church and Vice Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Lagos State Chapter, Reverend (Dr) Janet Onaolapo has called on Nigerians not to relent in interceding for the positive turnaround of the nation.
Onaolapo gave the assurance of hope and manifestation of God’s intervention in the face of current challenges.
In a statement ahead of the church’s 40th anniversary, set to commence from October 21 to 27, at the Peace Cathedral, Iju, Agege, Lagos, with the theme; “Next Level”, she restated the church’s commitment to intercede for Nigeria and to continue to make a positive impact on citizens and communities throughout the country.
Onaolapo noted that the programme would have a significant positive impact on the nation due to the offering of intercessory prayers for Nigeria, as fathers of faith including, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo with several gospel ministers and thousands of worshipers across the 20 branches of the church within and outside Nigeria are expected.
“For the past 40 years, God has constantly fought for us in these battles of life. This is our year of the supernatural and we shall all manifest. Get ready to meet the one who answers prayers, get ready for the next level. For 40 years, we have been walking in grace and witnessing great leaps…,” she added.
Onaolapo said the church, which focuses on outreach and soul-winning, is passionate about the total well-being of individuals and the development of youths.
“The church is interested in the development of the youth; hence, we are having two major seminars for them. There would be business and health checks and counseling about wellness and well-being.
“Awards of recognition, sporting activities to bond other brethren coming from other branches of the church both within and outside the church. Our Bishop of blessed memory was a table tennis champion. We always do table tennis and soccer tournaments every year.
“There would be a trade fair which would run within the three days of the anniversary from Thursday to Saturday with multinational companies and numerous goods and services will be available by vendors,” she added.
According to her, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Bishop Segun Johnson, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Apostle Johnson Selman, Buchi, and other ministers are expected.
