The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) has sought the support of the Brands Journalists’ Association of Nigeria (BJAN) in driving the Recognition, Expansion and Value (REV) Agenda of its new Executive Council, led by Mr. Lanre Adisa.
The president of the association, Mr. Lanre Adisa, made the overture, to the BJAN Team that paid him and some members of his exco a visit at the AAAN Secretariat in Lagos, recently.
Adisa, who was elected president, at the association’s last Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, this year, stated this while responding to BJAN’s request for partnership, towards its forthcoming Conference, scheduled for December, this year.
The Noah’s Ark boss explained that the support of Brand writers has become imperative, if the association is to effectively drive the REV agenda, aimed at repositioning the nation’s creative industry, and by extension her advertising sector.
The AAAN boss also expressed the hope that the REV agenda will not only improve the advertising sector, but also add value to the agencies.
Speaking earlier, BJAN Chairman, Clara Okoro had explained that the visit was part of the association’s move to renew the bond between BJAN and industry stakeholders.
“We did this with the last executives and most of what we discussed were implemented for the benefit of both organisations.
“So this year, we want to present two items in the area of partnership in respect of our marketing conference.
“It’s a symbiotic relationship- and we will also be expecting to hear what AAAN want from us in terms of value,” she added.
