In a bid to reposition Aboh Kingdom in the Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State for greater socio-economic transformation, His Imperial Majesty, Obi Dr. Greg Oputa III, on Tuesday dissolved all committees operating at various levels within the kingdom.
This decision, announced a week after he received the staff of office from the state government, is part of his inaugural royal proclamation delivered through a press statement by his palace secretary, Chief Amaechi Chime.
The statement listed the dissolved committees, which include the Aboh Community Development Committee (CDC), Aboh Youth Council, Aboh Development Union, and Aboh Oil and Gas Committee, along with any other committees, known or unknown, regardless of their name or purpose.
Furthermore, the king’s proclamation strictly forbids the use of derogatory epithets and any language or phrases that demean, mock, or belittle individuals from Aboh Kingdom due to their ancestral or historical background.
