The Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Government, Hon. Olubunmi Obeisun Ezekiel, has felicitated with the Executive Chairman of Obokun Local Government, Hon. Engr. Maroof Ogundipe, on the occasion of his birthday. Obeisun, who also serves as the State ALGON Auditor and the ALGON Leader in Ijesa Zone, described Ogundipe as a visionary leader dedicated to the development of his local government.
In his congratulatory message, Obeisun praised Ogundipe’s leadership qualities and unwavering commitment to public service. He acknowledged Ogundipe’s contributions to grassroots governance, emphasizing his efforts in improving the welfare of the people of Obokun Local Government.
Beyond the birthday celebration, Obeisun also used the opportunity to rejoice with Ogundipe over the recent Court of Appeal judgment delivered on February 10. The ruling reinstated both of them as local government chairmen, reaffirming their mandates to continue serving their respective councils.
Describing the court verdict as a victory for democracy, Obeisun commended the judiciary for upholding justice. He expressed confidence that the reaffirmation of their positions would enable them to redouble their efforts in delivering good governance and meaningful development to their people.
He further urged the people of Obokun and Oriade Local Governments to continue supporting their administrations, assuring them of more impactful policies and programs aimed at enhancing their quality of life.
