– Osun APC Slams Adeleke’s Sister Dupe Adeleke-Sanni .
The Osun State chapter of the (APC) has bemoaned the unfortunate level that the act of governance has drifted into under the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke who apparently is a stranger to his government as it is being run for him by proxy by the members of his family.
It is after the end of the inglorious four-year administration of Governor Adeleke that the degree of the infamy performed under him by the members of his family would become known to the unsuspecting members of the public.
Never in the history of the 34-year-old state has the type of the meddlesome interloping by the members of the family of a governor was experienced as it is the case with the ongoing show of shame in Osun State.
The event at the palace of the Oluwo in Iwo recently when the elder sister of Governor Adeleke, Mrs Dupe Adeleke-Sanni, paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the royal father was an eye and ear sore. There were so many revelations as to the power of the woman in the administration of his brother.
It was an indication that Governor Adeleke is only a governor by a mere designation. His siblings are not only in charge, they are in the total control of the convulsing administration.
The beneficiary of Adeleke-Sanni’s gesture who appeared not to know the negative political effect of the encomiums being showered on his godmother felt carried away and disclosed that the woman who never stood for any election is the Alpha and Omega in the government of her brother.
Our take is that it was the pathological inept quality of Governor Adeleke that prompted his sister to create a novel role for herself which is the first of its kind not only in Osun State but in all other states in Nigeria.
Former state Governor Bisi Akande had siblings who were not known to have played the shameful role of meddlesome interlopers in the administration of their brother.
Something that was even peculiar to the first national chairman of the APC when he was the governor was that he never created the Office of the Wife of the Governor with an excuse that it was unconstitutional, as his wife never stood for any election.
It was also to the knowledge of all and sundry that former state Governor Rauf Aregbesola has brothers and sisters who did not meddle with the administration of their brother for whatever reason.
Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, the immediate-past governor of the state now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy is also blessed with sisters and brothers who were neither obtrusive or intrusive into the administration of their brother.
It was even learnt that Madam Adeleke-Sanni who has been playing the unofficial role of a chaperon to his brother has an unusual influence or hold on him to the extent that official files of the government must pass through this strange woman in government before it could be signed by the puppet governor.
It is strange that there is an Office of the Sister to the Governor under the administration of Governor Nuru Adeleke as against the Office of the Wife of the Governor which though not constitutional, but has become a norm.
For God sake, no matter the personality of Governor Nurudeen Adeleke, he is a proud husband of two women between whom either of them should perform the role of the wife of the governor.
Madam Adeleke-Sanni should stop cashing in on the pathological challenges of her brother by allowing him to breathe in and out of office and stop playing the roles of her brother’s wife when the wives are very much around.
The earlier Madam Adeleke-Sanni keys into the fact that Osun State is not the estate of the Adelekes, the better it would be for her.
If we may ask Madam Adeleke-Sanni, what is her constitutional power upon which she has been relying on to distribute public offices to her cronies when she is not holding any statutory position under the administration of her brother?
Madam Adeleke-Sanni should sit up, desist from usurping the roles of her brother’s official wife and stop being a meddlesome interloper in the administration of her brother which has become a national embarrassment peculiar to the State of the Virtuous.
As if the ugly sight-seeing in the corridor of government in Osun State is not enough, we want to know the rationale behind the reason why the state deputy governor is always vacating his seat for Dupe at public functions which is against the established official protocol?
