The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has threatened to roll out the list of the names of the chieftains of the party from other states who have been using their affinity with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to talk down on the viability of the party in the state in favour of their close ally, Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Our ears are full of the inglorious and nefarious contributions of such highly-placed chieftains of our party both from some APC-controlled states and at the presidency who, instead of adding value to our party in our state, have been discovered to be engaging in anti-party activities at the presidency by making unmerited case for the embattled Governor Adeleke.
In fact, we have the list of the black legs who do not wish our party well among whom are serving governors, ministers and highly-placed political functionaries at the presidency who have been using their socio-business amity with Governor Adeleke to dubiously sell him to the presidency.
We, as a party, are warning those who are concerned to do a soul-searching and do urgently back out of their treacherous political activities against the members and supporters of our party in Osun State.
As much as we cannot choose the friends for those who are guilty of these identified anti-party activities against the state chapter of our party, it behoves on those who are affected to steer clear of the state or risk being publicly labelled as the enemies of the APC in our dear state.
There is no rationale behind unnecessarily working against the interest of our party in our state by these identified political turncoats whose activities against the Osun State chapter of our party have been monitored over the time.
It is unheard of how some of the chieftains of our party outside our state would prioritize an unmerited public relations job at the presidency for the governor whose past time is to instigate the killings of our members as was witnessed in Irewole Local Government Council Area of the state recently when Hon Remi Abass, the reinstated chairman of the council was callously murdered by the PDP thugs in the local government council secretariat and others in other parts of the state.
Our message to these APC chieftains who are working against the interest of our party is to leave the party alone if they cannot use their good offices to enhance the interest of the party.
Our investigations over the time have revealed that the affected APC chieftains who are always feigning to be in our support have been supporting the administration of Governor Adeleke in both cash and kind to the detriment of our party in the state.
This untoward development has emboldened the embattled Governor Adeleke and his cohorts to boast openly that they have the keys to the presidency in Abuja.
We want to impress it on the presidency that the Osun State chapter of the APC is very solid and vibrant to the extent that Governor Adeleke knows where the shoe pinches him.
What we would not allow or encourage is for some treacherous chieftains of the party to be portraying Governor Adeleke as ‘a good boy’ to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu when it is on record that he has been using his administrative arsenals not only to work against the party in the state but to lampoon the President for no just cause.
It would be recalled that no fewer than 30 members and supporters of our party were slaughtered like rams by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) hoodlums across the state to enable Governor Adeleke and all the National and House of Assembly candidates of his party rig the elections in 2022 and 2023.
It is not a gainsaying that the Osun State chapter of the APC under the leadership of the former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, the chairmanship of Sooko Tajudeen Lawal and the mentorship of Agba Osun led by Engr Sola Akinwumi, has been giving the ruling government in the state a run for their money and it shall remain perpetually so till we chase Governor Adeleke out of the Bola Ige House through the 2026 general elections in the state.
