Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State Senator Ademola Adeleke has said the new electoral law signed by President Muhammadu Buhari will prevent rigging during the July 16 governorship election.
Adeleke noted that with the new law, party’s acceptance and his popularity, it will be difficult to rig the July 16 poll.
The candidate Adeleke spoke at the party’s secretariat on the Ikirun road while receiving defectors.
A commissioner in the Rauf Aregbesola-led administration, Kolapo Alimi, was made deputy Director-General of the Adeleke Campaign Organisation.
Alimi however said Aregbesola does not support his defection. “Aregbesola is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC); he is not in support of my defection but we his loyalists were marginalised politically by Governor Oyetola and we cannot continue to bear it, that’s why we moved out.” Continue Reading
