Almond insurance industry award has elicited attention of the sector as more participants has been recorded in the 2024 edition.
The organisers said the award has witnessed a significant increase in the number of people showing interest to participate from the insurance industry stakeholders with nominations rising to 392 as against 101 recorded last year.
The company stressed that the 288.12 percent increase participation in the nomination process is a testament to the growing recognition and prestige of the Almond Awards within and outside the insurance industry.
This was disclosed by Ms. Prisca Soares, Chairman Awards Panel of Judges during a press conference to unveil nominees for the 2024 Almond Insurance Industry Awards in Lagos.
She expressed profound pleasure for the enthusiasm demonstrated by industry operators and said the award ceremony aims at recognizing and exalting individuals of excellence in the insurance industry.
Ms Soares, specially commended the media for their incredible support through the extensive broadcast of the nomination process in their various platforms.
She said: “We are convened here today to reveal the nominees in the various categories. I am thrilled by the industry’s enthusiastic response to this year’s Awards.
“The meticulous nomination process which spanned over a month saw active participation from top management, corporate entities, and individual clients, all nominating based on the provided criteria.”
However, the Chairman noted that some of the nominations were not considered due to non-compliance with the criteria.
Ms. Soares stated, “I must say that overall it was well received.
It is pertinent to inform you that nominees for the various categories went through the mill of due process and screening by the Judges before being shortlisted for the voting process.
