Governor of the State of Osun, Adegboyega Oyetola, has showered encomiums on the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba AbdulRasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV, describing him as a courageous and tenacious leader.
Oyetola commended the monarch for making Iragbiji peaceful and investment-friendly since he ascended the throne of his forefathers 12 years ago. He also thanked him for rising to the occasion by ensuring that hoodlums did not overrun the town during the unfortunate incident that happened in the State last Saturday.
The Governor made the remarks in a congratulatory message to Oba AbdulRasheed through his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
He said: “On behalf of my family, the Government and People of The State of Osun, I warmly felicitate you, our father, Oba AbdulRasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, on the occasion of your birthday, today, October 29.
“As you celebrate, I am very sure your heart is filled with joy for what Almighty Allah has helped you to achieve all these years. Under your leadership, the town and the people of Iragbiji have continued to witness tremendous leap. Looking forward, I pray that all your dreams and wishes for the people of Iragbiji and the State of Osun come true.
“It is also my prayer that Almighty Allah continues to bestow on you good health and wisdom to continue to pilot the traditional affairs of Iragbiji land and offer valuable contributions to the development of our dear State and Nigeria in general”, Oyetola said.
