Since June 2022, when political parties rounded off their primaries, Nigerians have been anxiously waiting with bated breath for today, September 28 official campaign take-off date, the Online Media Practitioners Association in Osun State has urged stakeholders to avoid blackmailing people and allow the campaigns to be issue based.
On Wednesday, the Association emphasized the need for campaigns to be issue based.
“Campaign is an avenue for the political parties across board to present their manifestos to the electorates.
“However, as the fourth estate of the realm, we urged the contestants, politicians and loyalists to adopt a new way on how possible they can make the local, state, and federal level better rather than attacking personalities that could lead to mayhem.
“We call on the electorates to vote for the candidate of their choice and never be allowed to be bought over ahead of Elections day
“As we wish the country a fair, free and peaceful campiagns moment, supporters of political parties should shun violence. And remember is a campaign and not fight.
