Nationnewslead reports that The Principal, Management and the entire members of Ojumu Foundation condemn, in a strong term, the attack launched on the Director – General of our Foundation, Hon. Olaniyi Agboola on Saturday 6th March 2021 while he was at the venue of a meeting held at the premises of High Chief Emiola Ogunsanya ( FEG Agro) to the extent that the assailant had to remove the APC Party cap from DG ‘s head with inscription of Oyetola 4+4=8 and tore it into pieces. This attack was reported to have been carried out by Oriade Local Government Youth Leader, Mr. Awe Olawale Timothy( popularly known as Elewa) who was on the Foundation payroll for over two years and who enjoyed many benefits while he was engaged in Ojumu Foundation.
It is quite unfortunate that we could have this set of people in our society. We find it difficult to believe that the immediate past Chairman of Oriade Local Government, Hon. Olubunmi Obeisun could be going round with boys with the aim of unleashing terror on well-meaning and peace-loving individuals without thinking of the consequences of such inimical actions. The Director – General of our Foundation is an easy going man who has no record of trouble anywhere and he is affable, friendly, tactful and approachable. So, we do not see any reason why he should be attacked simply because Hon. Obeisun and his boys have someone they are now working for. It will be put on record that our contributions since our Foundation came on board in this part of the State are numerous and beneficial to the society we are. We have been promoting our party, APC without any compromise. So we don’t see any reason why our DG and other members of our team should be assaulted or threatened by those who have benefited directly or indirectly from our generosity. As a well-established NGO, we believe in peace and understand that there are laws in our land which we have resolved to use on this matter instead of retaliating with physical combat.
From the information available at our disposal, this man called Wale Awe( popularly known as Elewa) has turned this attack to a hobby which he feels he can be doing to people and go away with it as evident in series of previous attacks on different people in Ijebu-Jesa and its environs. As a matter of fact, the party needs to know the kind of people they entrust with responsibilities. How can someone causing mayhem and pandemonium everywhere be made LGA Youth Leader? The immediate past Chairman pretentiously encourages this man( Mr. Awe) to engage in this nefarious act.
However, we will continue to use every tool of the laws to pursue this case to a logical conclusion. And we are using this medium to appeal to our teeming supporters and well-wishers not to engage in counter attack so as to promote peace which we are known for.
