Several bus stops in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Tuesday, were devoid of the usual dominant presence of men of the Park Management System (PMS) demanding payment of levies from commercial vehicle and motorcycle operators.
Apart from some bus stops where some park managers were spotted demanding levies, commercial vehicle and motorcycle operators had a smooth drive across quite a number of bus stops across the city.

Several of the few who demanded the usual levies did so in mufti without wearing their usual branded vests or caps that bear the pictures of the leader of the dissolved PMS Disciplinary Committee, Mr Mukaila Lamidi popularly called Auxiliary.
The development comes on the heels of Governor Seyi Makinde announcing the dissolution of the PMS Disciplinary Committee and the police raiding one of the properties of Lamidi where members of the PMS were arrested while various weapons were also confiscated.
Meanwhile, security was beefed up at the state Secretariat with men and vehicles of the Oyo State Security Network Agency, also called Amotekun corps, stationed at the entrances into the Secretariat.
Men of the Nigeria police were also seen strategically positioned across the state capital.
