
In its resolve to sustain ongoing water and sanitation projects across the state, the Bauchi State Government has expressed determination to collaborate with the African Development Bank (AfDB).
The assertion was made by the State Governor, Bala Mohammed during a meeting with the Bank’s monitoring and evaluation team at the Government House in Bauchi on Saturday.

Represented by Secretary to the State Government, Ibrahim Kashim, the Governor highlighted Bauchi State’s position as a leading beneficiary of the Bank’s interventions.
He emphasised the state’s dedication to implementing sustainable mechanisms for the long-term utilisation of these projects.
The delegation, led by the Permanent Secretary of Bauchi State Rural Water and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), Garba Babaji Magaji, acknowledged the positive impact of these initiatives, citing dozens of rural communities benefiting from the projects.
He added that the partnership aligns with the Bauchi State Government’s focus on sustainable development, particularly in areas such as Improving access to clean water and sanitation facilities, promoting effective leadership and accountable resource management.
Magaji opined that by strengthening ties with the African Development Bank, Bauchi State aims to ensure the continued success and expansion of these vital initiatives.
The delegation visited the implementing communities and projects around the state and where satisfied with the state performance.
