Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are in the running for the 2024 US presidential seat and have deployed a series of slogans with the election on November 5.
Harris, who made history in 2021 as the first female, Black, and South Asian vice president, continues to focus her campaign on themes of progress and equality, while Trump, aiming for a non-consecutive second term, seeks to reassert his influence on American politics. Their campaigns have been representative of their broad ideological shifts.

Vice President Harris has been campaigning with a strong emphasis on rights protection and unity.
Her slogan ‘When we fight, we win’ is a rallying cry for Democratic voters invested in healthcare access, reproductive rights, and educational reforms.
It was featured in her debut campaign video, set to the sounds of Beyoncé’s song “Freedom.” She made that statement as she concluded her first visit to the Biden staffers who had become hers at the campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware.
Additionally, it is now displayed on her campaign website in large and bold letters.
In contrast, Trump’s campaign builds on his 2016 populist message, reviving his signature slogan “Make America Great Again” and introducing new phrases like “Save America” and “Reclaim Our Country.”
His message appeals to voters who prioritise national sovereignty, economic reform and a return to traditional American values, reinforcing the themes that propelled him to the presidency in 2016.
