Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has dismissed suggestions that the emerging opposition coalition, the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), poses any threat to President Bola Tinubu’s chances in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking during an interview on Saturday, Governor Sani insisted that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) remains strong and undeterred and can’t be shaked

Sani described the coalition as politically inconsequential, saying, “I can tell you today, but go and write it down and remember this day Asiwaju has no threat.”

He questioned the credibility of the coalition’s leaders, many of whom he claimed were missing during the democratic struggles that shaped Nigeria’s political landscape.
“Most of the people speaking today, where were they when we were in the trenches fighting for democracy, for justice, for good governance, for the rule of law?” Sani asked.
This response comes days after El-Rufai declared that Tinubu and the APC would be rejected by Nigerians in 2027 due to poor governance and economic hardship, a statement that has sparked strong reactions within APC ranks.
Uba Sani, however, maintained that the opposition lacks the structure, grassroots reach, and public trust to unseat the APC-led government.
He emphasised that Nigerians still believe in Tinubu’s leadership and warned against being swayed by political theatrics.
