As muslims all over the country celebrates this year’s Eid el Fitri festival signifying the end of Ramadan, a All Progressives Congress Stalwart in Oriade/Obokun federal constituency, Engr. Olufemi Akosile, has congratulated Muslim Ummah for witnessing this year Eid el fitri as he charges them to remain steadfast in Allah.
In his special congratulatory message made available to newsmen, Engr. Akosile noted that it is absolutely necessary for every Muslim faithful who participated in the holy month to replicate and demonstrate in their daily activities the lessons and virtues of sacrifice, forgiveness, self denial and genuine love towards one another, which they learnt during the month of Ramadan.
According to him, this is a period to reflect the outpouring of generosity towards one another, especially the less privileged and as they give thanks to Allah for the successful fasting period, they should practice the lessons of the month and abstain from deeds that violate divine injunctions.
He urged Muslims and non Muslims alike in Oriade and Obokun Local Governments in particular, Osun State in general, to use the opportunity, leveraging on the spirituality of this festive period, to offer special prayers for the nation and its leaders against the backdrop of the current security challenges we are facing.
