

Nationnewslead report that Residents in Osun State are gripped with fear following a deadly clash between rival cult groups in the communities of Ilesa and Osu.
According to reports from Nationnewslead, the confrontation erupted when members of the Aye confraternity clashed with the Eiye group over previous killings in Ilesa.

Tragically, the violence claimed the life of a bread seller named Oluwaseun Igwe in Ilesa, allegedly at the hands of Aye members. This incident triggered further clashes, resulting in the deaths of two more individuals. The tension escalated, leading to a retaliatory attack in Osu, Atakunnosa West Local Government Area, where three more lives were lost.
Confirming the grim toll, Kehinde Adeleke, spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), stated that six fatalities have been recorded in the ongoing clash. Security operatives have been mobilized to restore calm in the affected areas and apprehend those responsible for the violence.
