Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) is one of the key essence of management. Leaders of both governmental and non governmental organizations embark on Cooperate Social Responsibilities as an avenue to give back to their host communities.
CSR has therefore been paramount to the Management of The Federal Polytechnic Offa. Dr. Olatunji’s administration has explored cordial relationship between the Polytechnic and its host/neighboring communities.
Immediately Dr. Olatunji emerge as Rector in 2017, he has on different occasions visited some organizations within Offa community and its environs in a bid to extend Cooperate Social Responsibility gesture to host communities.
The Rector and his able lieutenants visited Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) office in Offa and donated amount of money towards the purchase of new transformer for ‘Abuja Poly’ area in Offa.

This Management has always been proactive in beefing up security on and off campuses. In this spirit, Dr. Olatunji’s led administration donated a motorcycle to Offa vigilante group in Offa Local Government to ease their movement in the discharge of their official duties.
Similarly, Dr. Olatunji led Management donated a refrigerator to the Special Squad Security (SSS) Office in the Community in appreciation of their relentless efforts on security related matter.
In 2018, his Management coordinated the entire staff of the Polytechnic to contribute millions of naira to support the community in the construction of Divisional Police Station along Ojoku road, Offa.
In 2019, Dr. Olatunji displayed fatherly role and parental care to students in different secondary schools as his Management organized a sensitization programme for secondary school students on career counselling, O’level Subject/JAMB subject Combination. As a matter of fact, many students that have good grades in their WAEC/NECO results are inadmissible because of wrong subject combination. The sensitization program hosted school Principals, ICT Teachers and resource persons to orientate students on Career and JAMB Subject Combination.
The same 2019, the thirst for academic excellence and educational standard propelled Dr. Olatunji and his team to donate 80 Desktops Computers to 8 Secondary Schools in Offa and Oyun LGAs. The Computer Desktops and its accessories were shared across 8 secondary schools alongside a training/workshop session on use of computers. The training was borne out of the mass failure of students in JAMB CBT examination which was attributed to lack of basic computer skills. The schools that benefited were: Community Secondary School Offa, Anglican Comprehensive College Offa, Moremi High School Offa, Okin High School Offa, Ojoku Grammar School Ojoku, Ansarudeen College Ipee, Faji Community High School Faji, Osun State and Federal Polytechnic Offa International School.
In 2020, the whole world embattled Covid-19 pandemic. The outbreak of Covid-19 in no doubt shook the entire universe. The Management of The Federal Polytechnic Offa led by Dr. Olatunji played a vital role to curb the spread of the pandemic in the country. As a technical institution, School of Applied Science and Technology, School of Engineering Technology and Entrepreneurship Development Center of the Polytechnic came up with different preventive machines and PPEs such as hand sanitizer, face mask, antiseptic disinfectant, liquid detergent, solar hand washing and sanitizing machine, manual hand washing and sanitizing machine, automated fumigation system to fight the spread of Covid-19. Olatunji led Management magnanimously donated many of these preventive materials to the traditional rulers and communities within Offa and Oyun Local Governments as part of its social services to the community.
2021 has also recorded its own share of CSR adventures. Under Dr. Olatunji’s leadership, a group of staff of the Polytechnic contributed money to dig a standard borehole water system for Oke-Agun community in Offa Local Government in memory of the immediate past Rector, Late Dr. Mufutau Olatunde Olatinwo of blessed memory.
Unarguably, Dr. Olatunji’s led adminstration has recorded numbers of successes in social responsibility function as many achievements in this regard cannot be featured in this report. It is on record that since Dr. Olatunji assumed office in 2017, no year passed without one or more CSR project carried out. This gesture has undoubtedly contributed immensely to the existing cordial relationships between the institution and its host communities. Dr. Olatunji’s CSR efforts will live on and shall forever count even after his administration.
