The public was abuzz recently as Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, the elegant former First Lady of Oyo State, made a rare appearance in Abeokuta, Ogun State, marking one of her most notable outings since the passing of her husband, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Mrs. Ajimobi, known for her poise and grace during her tenure as First Lady, drew admiration radiating her signature charm and composure.
Dressed in an exquisite flowered dress with a head tie to match, she met with Senator Gbenga Daniel and the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Honorable Mudashiru Obasa in an indoor meeting whose purpose is kept from the public.
Many noted that despite her low profile in recent years, Mrs. Ajimobi’s ability to captivate an audience remains undiminished.
The rare outing reignited fond memories of Mrs. Ajimobi’s active years as First Lady, during which she championed numerous initiatives focused on women’s empowerment, healthcare, and community development.
During her tenure as First Lady from 2011 to 2019, Mrs. Ajimobi was celebrated for her impactful programs, including the Ajumose Food Bank and other welfare initiatives aimed at alleviating poverty and empowering women. Her return to the spotlight reminded many of the enduring legacy of her family’s contributions to Oyo State.
