A segment of the Samsung building under construction at Banex Junction, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse II District, Abuja, has collapsed.
The incident occurred during the casting of the penthouse segment of the three-story structure.
While no lives were lost, four out of the ten construction workers on site sustained minor injuries and were taken to Wuse District Hospital for evaluation and treatment.

This incident follows a fire that previously gutted the Samsung building on November 6, 2023.
Reacting to the collapse, the Acting Director-General of the FCT Emergency Management Department (FEMD), Engr. Abdulrahman Mohammed, appealed to developers to strictly adhere to building codes and prioritize safety measures on construction sites to prevent such incidents in the future.
