Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo’s political support group, Youths Earnestly Seek Soludo (YESS), has endorsed the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), flagbearer for Idemili South Local Government Area, Mrs Amaka Obi, to represent the council at the forthcoming September 28th, 2024 local government election in the state.
The group made the endorsement at Community Central School Umuru-Nnobi, Idemili South Council Area, Anambra state, during the party mega rally session organised for Mrs. Obi to win the forthcoming election, on Saturday
Tribune Online gathered that YESS is a group of youth drawn from the twenty-one local government areas of the State with the mandate to ensure justice, good governance and to protect the interest of the youths, especially, those at the rural areas.
Addressing the gathering, Amaka Obi, who said she was elated with the mass turnout of the APGA supporters to throw their support behind her, gave the assurance that she is coming out for good governance, promotion of the interest of the people Nnobi community, the State as a whole as well as to ensure that dividends of democracy get to the door steps of people of Idemili South Local Government Area.
Obi maintained that training and empowerment of the youths in the area will be her first priority, even as she promised to work tirelessly to see that the people of the council area are fully engaged in all sectors of the economy.
The APGA candidate expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Igbariam, Prof Kate Azuka Omenugha, the YESS National Convener, Dr. Obinna Omenugha, Member representing Idemili South State Constituency, Hon. Ebuka Igwe Member Representing Idemili South Constueincy Ugosinachi
In his remark, the convener of YESS and the Special Adviser to governor Soludo on Youth Development, Dr. Obinna Nelson Omenugha, urged Nnobi community to vote massively for Mrs Obi, because she was carefully chosen because of her sterling qualities, even as he said that she will be active and speak their voice more than any other candidates in the area.
