A think tank group, Ibeku Professional (IPF), has commended the Governor of Abia state, Alex Chioma Otti for redefining governance in the state with massive infrastructural projects embarked upon by his administration in every parts of the state.
The group specifically lauded the Abia government’s proposed flag off of the reconstruction of the Orpet-Umuafai-Lodu-Ahiaeke Road, including Ahiaeke-Okwuta-Bende Road in umuahia north local government area of the state scheduled Tuesday 24th of March, 2025.
In a statement on Monday in Abuja by the Chairman, Suveyor Samuel Aguiyi and the Secretary, Chijindu Emeruwa, the Ibeku Professional noted that Governor Otti’s administration has demonstrated leadership capacity and unwavering commitment towards improving the development in Ibeku land and the Abia state as a whole.
According to the group, the proposed reconstruction of the ndume otuka road project when completed by the state government would provide accessible road network for neighboring communities and improve economic growths in umuahia Ibeku.
“There’s no gainsaying that history will forever be kind to present administration in Abia state for including Ibeku clan in its development policies as the proposed reconstruction of the Orpert-Umuafai-Lodu-Ahiaeke, and other rural ring road in the community. This singular gesture by the government, no doubts, has further shown the unwavering commitments and determination of Governor Alex Otti to rebuild the state and place it on the path of economic prosperity and progress”,the pressure group asserted.
The Ibeku Professionals also lauded the effective, efficient, and responsive representation of umuahia central constituency in Abia state House of Assembly by the Deputy Speaker, Rt Honorable Austin Okezie Meregini, which propelled the state government’s inclusion of dilapidated ndume/ibeku ring road for reconstruction.
The group noted with deep satisfactions that the Deputy Speaker has demonstrated leadership capacity as he continuedly interfaces with state executive arm of government in its provisions of critical infrastructures,
tilted at enhancing people’s livelihoods and development in umuahia east constituency and other parts of Abia state.
Based on the sterling leadership qualities of Governor Alex Otti, and the lawmaker representing umuahia east constituency in State legislative chamber, Rt Honorable Austin Okezie Meregini, the Ibeku Professionals resolved and endorsed the two Abia leaders for second term in office in 2027 respectively, so as to enable them continue their marvelous works and consolidate the democratic gains already recorded in current tenure in Abia state.
“We must state in categorical terms that there is no vacancy in Abia Government house and the seat of Umuahia east constituency in Abia House of Assembly come 2027. Because the State Governor and the Deputy Speaker has justified the mandates entrusted them by people of Abia state, whom are now enjoying genuine democratic dividends brought to their doorsteps by these two great Abia sons.
While pledging to collectively work for reelection of Dr Otti and Meregini in the forthcoming polls slated in 2027 in Abia state by the national electoral commission, the group on before of the good people of Ibeku ancient clan, reiterated their continued support to Governor Otti-led administration in the state, and as well lauded the cordial relationship existing between the Abia chief executive and the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Austin Okezie Meregini.
Meanwhile, the Ibeku Professionals has called on the people of Ibeku Ukwu Ogurube to troop out enmasse to give arousing welcome to the Abia state Governor, Alex Chioma Otti as he sets to flag off the reconstruction of the deplorable Orpet-Umuafai-Lodu-Ahiaeke road, including Ahiaeke-Okwuta-Bende Road in umuahia north local government area of the state on Tuesday.
The flag-off ceremony will take place at timber industrial market, Tipper Park in Umuahia.
