Mrs Genevieve Ekwueme from Elelenwo town in Obio akpor local government, Rivers State who spoke with NATIONNEWSLEAD on Thursday has sent a distress call to all Nigerians to help save her ailing daughter, Omah Ekwueme, diagnosed with chronic navel disease.
In her passionate message, Mrs Genevieve Ekwueme graphically describes her pain and fears. “Every day, at the hospital is a very emotional and disturbing experience, I watch my daughter, daily and slowly slipping into pains from these disease. My heart aches. My tears won’t dry. My daughter is weaker at each sunrise and slower at sunset.
A medical report signed by the Consultant Physician and Nephrologist, Althahaus Medicals, Dr. Kingsley Akanwa, noted that Omah Ekwueme has navel problem according to report, Omah requires urgent navel treatment.
Mrs Genevieve also explained that her daughter inside navel is very open and needs to open up to seal the opening inside her navel. When ever she eats, she cried as the pains comes up and because of this she always scared of eating and is experiencing excruciating pains in her body.
The treatment, surgery including post-surgery care and support are estimated to cost N4 million.
“Where am I going to get that from,” she asks.”Time is not on my side. I need your help here and now. My income cannot meet the financial burden of her medical challenges and I have put a temporary hold on my work to care and support her.
“I need you to help me save my daughter. I do not want to be a mortally childless at the prime of my life. I do not want to lose her to this dreadful disease because of my financial status that has been whittled down due to this challenge.
“Hence I cry to you to please help me with whatever you have. Your donations will help me save my dearest daughter and a promising kid. She is my life and I don’t want to lose my life.
