Nationnewslead reports that A 29 -year- old herbalist, Baoku Gbuyi and a 27- year- old bricklayer, Olamide Odulaja have been arrested by detectives of Ogun Police Command for alleged murder of a housewife, Modupeola Folorunsho and her four- year – old son, Peter Folorunsho for money making ritual.
The suspects allegedly abducted the victim and her son on February 13, 2021 before killing them for money ritual at the house of the herbalist in Ijebu – Igbo, the police alleged.
It was learnt that the herbalist burnt the woman’s head in a fire before using it to prepare money ritual for Olamide who fled his home at Araromi street Japara Ijebu Igbo on hearing that detectives had arrested Olamide.
It was learnt detectives, adopting technical and intelligence- based investigation, traced Odulaja to Ibadan and arrested him while the herbalist was traced to Kajola village and arrested by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for Awa Ijebu Division with the assistance of hunters and local vigilantes.
Ogun Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed these in a statement on Sunday.
