The founder of Community of Closers Academy and TEDx speaker, Bruno Nwogu, on Thursday on LinkedIn, shared how his university 3rd class degree and failure inspired him to become a millionaire in his twenties.
Nwogu, whose career now involves helping people and organisations grow their social influence and make sales, revealed that in 2017, when he was a statistics university student, he was certain he would not get a better grade than a 3rd class.
He added that, because he had multiple courses to rewrite, his coursemates graduated in 2015, leaving him to graduate a few years later.
“How many times have you been faced with a situation that made you whine and cry?” he asked. “Did the whining and crying fix it?”
Nwogu noted that he has learned from experience that the truth will first hurt before it sets one free and that he has adopted that mindset in everything he does.
he advised that when things do not go as planned, one should count their losses, pick the lessons, and find the path forward, adding “Little shifts in beliefs and perspectives can amount to tremendous success.”
He recalled that when he began building an audience on Twitter (now X Corps), he woke up one day and his ad accounts had been banned.
He also recalled paying $7,500 for a coaching class that did not go as planned, but he moved on.
“I could have either quit or focused on getting traffic organically. It was slow and hard, but I doubled down on it,” he stated, adding that as a result of his patience and resilience, he has gained “125,000 followers, about $1,000,000 in sales, and a life of freedom.”
Advising his followers, he stated that one’s ability to quickly bounce back from disappointment, recalibrate, and find the path forward would be the reason they would be unbeatable.
