The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has called for collaboration with the Sokoto State House of Assembly (SSHA) in the fight against corruption.
During a courtesy visit in Sokoto, Mr. Garba Tukur-Idris, the ICPC Resident Commissioner for Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara states, emphasized the importance of legislative bodies in strengthening transparency and accountability in governance.
He stressed that corruption cannot thrive in a nation where all arms of government work together to fight it.
Tukur-Idris noted that the fight against corruption requires the collective effort of all sectors, emphasizing that no single government arm or agency can succeed alone.
He identified collaboration, partnership, and public education as key elements in effectively addressing corruption.
