In a significant political event held yesterday, the people of Ward 3, Ijebu-Ijesa, enthusiastically welcomed Hon. Fanimokun Ibikunle Samuel, a leading aspirant for the Oriade State Constituency seat at the Osun State House of Assembly. The declaration gathering attracted Ward 3 and Local Government party executives, stakeholders, party loyalists, and numerous well-wishers, all driven by Fanimokun’s commendable personality and leadership qualities.
The well-attended event saw the presence of notable figures beyond the ward who came to show solidarity and support. Speakers at the event described Fanimokun as a loyal party member, a marketable aspirant, a core progressive, a compassionate leader, and a proud son of Egboro land.
Kicking off the event, Fanimokun rendered a soul-stirring worship song, expressing gratitude to God for His faithfulness and grace. He acknowledged the overwhelming support of party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters who graced the occasion.
During his speech, Fanimokun highlighted that his aspiration was born out of a genuine desire to serve the people. He stated:
“My intention to represent Oriade State Constituency at the State House of Assembly is not borne out of a self-serving desire or an affinity for power but from a passionate quest to use political power to provide solutions to the yearnings of our people.”
He emphasized that his representation would focus on expanding humanitarian services, offering purposeful leadership, and attracting dividends of good governance to the constituency.
Elder Samuel Alake, Ward Chairman, formally welcomed Fanimokun and his team. He introduced political leaders and ward executives, praising Fanimokun for his notable contributions to the community even before his political ambition.
Speaking on behalf of the General Coordinator of Project #JARED2027, Comrade Awoyemi Olayinka introduced Fanimokun’s entourage and expressed appreciation to the ward leaders and party loyalists for the opportunity to officially declare the aspirant’s intention. He assured the gathering that Fanimokun’s leadership would be inclusive and beneficial if given the mandate.
Hon. Fanimokun promised effective and qualitative representation, pledging to influence infrastructural development, vocational education, and human capacity building in the constituency.
In his remarks, Elder Samuel Alake affirmed that his findings about Fanimokun had been satisfactory, indicating his readiness for good representation at the State Assembly. He expressed gratitude for the aspirant’s consistent contributions to the community.
