The lawmaker representing Kogi Central senatorial district, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has expressed her determination to serve everyone irrespective of their political differences.
She made the assertion while receiving some National Assembly workers who are of Kogi Central extraction in her office.
In a statement issued by Arogbonlo Israel, Chief Press Secretary to Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan noted that the lawmaker assured them of her maximum support, promising to address their concerns when the need arises.
She noted that she’s the representative of all the people of Kogi Central in the Senate, adding that she doesn’t consider political affiliations before attending to their concerns and fighting for them.
“I have spoken to the Senate Chairman Committee on FCT, and I told him we have a huge population in Abuja. I told him that sometimes we even contested elections and won. I told him that over time, I will be bringing the concerns of our people within the FCT, so whatever your concerns are will be attended to.
“I am here to serve everybody, those of us who are in Kogi Central and those of us who are here and as many of our population that are in Ondo, Nasarawa, Kano, Lagos, and other places, I wouldn’t want anybody to be left out.
“For my fellow women, I have a lot for you, I made campaign promises and right now I am working diligently to fulfill them.
“I just had a session with Senator Ireti Kingibe, and she’s interfacing with the World Bank for a certain project for women that will come up early next year. Try to stay connected to my office, and if you have relatives back home, we are opening our constituency offices in each local government area.
“We can encourage our people back home to send complaints, and reach out to me through the constituency offices, for those of us who are here, if you have concerns you can channel them through your leadership in Lugbe, Kubwa, Gwagwalada and other areas, it will definitely get to me.
“For jobs employment, there is going to be a lot I will get for our people. As much as I can, I will bring the best dividend of democracy to us here and to our people back home.
“I came at a time when a lot of things are happening, but I am still trying to catch up. Work with my office, a lot of you are in various committees, let me know what is happening, be my ears and my eyes, and let me know what is going on,” she said.
