The Lagos State governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, says the postponement of the governorship and state house of assembly polls will help the Party recover its mandate that was allegedly robbed by the All Progressives Congress during the presidential election.
Recall the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced in a statement on Wednesday night that the scheduled March 11 election is now shifted to March 18 following the court ruling to reconfigure the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).
The electoral umpire also disclosed that governorship campaigns would continue until midnight Thursday, 16th March 2023.

However, Rhodes-Vivour in an interview with Vanguard, said he had no problem with the postponement of the polls and also agreed with the excuse given by the Commission.
He further called on INEC to do the needful by ensuring that data gathering and data collection of the presidential election stored on the BVAS are not compromised.
“I feel it’s extremely important for the needful to be done with regards to data gathering and data collection of the presidential election to ensure that we can put the best case forward with regards to the presidential election that was robbed,” he said
