Controversial social critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has revealed that no money is missing from his NGO’s account.
Tribune Online reports that a few days ago, VeryDarkMan raised the alarm in an Instagram post about the hacking of his NGO’s account, claiming that N180 million had been stolen.
According to him, the funds were taken after hackers allegedly gained access to the NGO’s website.
However, in a new video posted on Instagram on Tuesday, Otse clarified that no funds were stolen and expressed disappointment with the public’s hasty acceptance of the unverified claim.
He voiced frustration over how many Nigerians believed the false narrative without seeking evidence and instead resorted to insults aimed at him and his family.
The controversial figure explained that he had intentionally instructed his website manager to take the site offline, adding that the situation was only used to “catch cruise” with the public.
He said, “No money is missing, my money is secured. The way people are so excited about bad is really sad. I told my website guy, shut the website, let us use this people catch cruise. Nobody bothered to ask for evidence. They just went with what is being said. I am so happy I did this.”
