A fire outbreak on Tuesday engulfed two petrol-laden tankers at an MRS filling station along Numan Road, opposite the Jezco filling station near Yola International Airport, Adamawa
State.
The incident caused significant disruption to vehicular movements as the road leading to Yola, the State capital, was blocked.
Residents rushed to the scene to witness the inferno, disregarding potential danger of two fuel tankers which had already been consumed by the fire as of press time.
Tribune Online learnt that fire service personnel arrived at the scene and began efforts to contain the flames, but their water supply appeared to be running low.
Security operatives were also deployed to secure the area.
