Kebbi State Police Commissioner, Mr. Bello Sani, has presented cheques totaling N5.82 million to the families of police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, to support the education and financial needs of the deceased officers’ families.
Mr. Sani, while handing over the cheques to the bereaved families, stated that this gesture was in line with the directive from the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
“It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Police Headquarters in Birnin Kebbi, where we are presenting cheques from the IGP Group Life Assurance Scheme amounting to N5,847,268.50 to the families of four police officers who died while serving our nation,” he said.

“The IGP’s kind gesture is not intended as compensation for the lives lost, but rather as support for the families and to boost the morale of our serving officers in the fight against crime in the state.”
“In this regard, I advise you to use the funds wisely in pursuing your educational goals and addressing other financial needs.”
