A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency of Osun State, Mr Akinwale Lawanson, has enjoined the leadership of the party in the federal constituency to close their ranks and operate as one indivisible entity in the interest of overall development of the constituency.
Lawanson in a chat with NEWSTAIWAD in Osogbo on Sunday stated that there was an urgent need to settle all the rifts among the APC leaders and followers in Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the interest of the party.
The APC chieftain who hails from Ere-Ijesa disclosed that it is in unity, togetherness and co-operation that the strength of the party in the constituency can manifest.
He reminded the political combatants in the constituency to put on their thinking cap by embracing peace adding that “no meaningful development can take place in any rancorous area”.
Lawanson who is eyeing the chairmanship seat of Oriade Local Government Council Area of the state in the next dispensation said, it would not be out of tune for the party leaders in the constituency to find a permanent way forward for any misunderstanding among them.
The industrialist/farmer-turned politician reminded the APC leaders and their footsoldiers that it’s only when there is a crack on the wall that a lizard can penetrate such wall.
