Sheinbaum earned between 58.3% and 60.7% of the vote, according to the Associated Press, which officially declared Sheinbaum the winner shortly after 4 a.m. EST. Xochitl Galvez, an opposition senator, finished in second place, with between 26.6% and 28.6% of the vote.
