The Acting Chairman/CEO, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi, has lauded the remarkable effort of the Association for Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria (AHUON) to organise a hitch-free Hajj 2024 through the training of its members on new initiative.
Arabi lauded the association at the seminar it organised held at the Immaculate Hotel, Abuja.

He, therefore, appealed to AHOUN members to enroll in the commission’s newly established Hajj Institute of Nigeria (HIN) for professional studies.
“Mr President, I want to urge you and your members to avail yourself with series of training being organised by the Hajj Institute of Nigeria in order to bring members up to speed and abreast of the current happenings in the Hajj industry.
“It may interest you to know that top management staff of the Commission just graduated from the Institute with a certificate in Strategic Management of Hajj and Umrah.”
The NAHCON boss also informed that the commission would soon embark on grassroots mobilisation of pilgrims for 2024 Hajj, using local languages to reach intending pilgrims.
According to him, “local radio stations across the country will be utilised in this regard because the hand of clock is ticking towards the deadline fixed by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj.”
He, however, assured that the Hajj body would leave no stone unturned to make the 2024 Hajj operation a huge success, adding that AHUON’s continued cooperation, support and prayers would assist in this regard.
Arabi expressed appreciation to AHOUN for the time and resources it deployed in Hajj and Umrah management as well as for the golden opportunity given to him to be the special guest of honour at the event.
