

National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) has accredited 13 courses of the Federal Polytechnic Kabo, Kano State.
Speaking when members of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic visited him in his office in the National Assembly on a courtesy visit, the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, commended the council’s dedication to advancing education and fostering academic excellence.

The governing council, led by the former deputy governor of Osun State, now chairperson, Federal Polytechnic, Kabo, Kano State, Chief (Mrs) Titilayo Tomori-Ponnle, had informed the deputy Senate President of the accreditation.
Other members of the board included architect Timnan Gambo, Dr. Sadisu Buhari, and Alhaji Abdullahi Baba.
The deputy Senate President, who said that discussions he had with members of the governing council were both productive and insightful, added that they focused on the continued development and success of the institution.
He urged the board and management of the higher institution to sustain the tempo to make the institution world-class.
“It is our collective responsibility to support such endeavours that contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation.
“Education is the cornerstone for meaningful development,” he said.
Also speaking, the chairperson, Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Kabo, Chief (Mrs.) Titilayo Tomori-Ponnle said that the deputy Senate President, who currently serves as the Senator representing Kano North senatorial district in the 10th National Assembly, has been supportive of the Federal Polytechnic, Kabo.
Chief Tomori-Ponnle also said that the deputy Senate President has contributed immensely to the growth of the polytechnic within the few years of its existence.
