As part of its efforts to meet the increasing challenges of job creation in Nigeria, the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has, over the years, initiated lots of schemes under its Small Scale Enterprises (SSE) department which include Micro Enterprise Enhancement Scheme (MEES).
Director-General of the NDE, Mallam Nuhu Fikpo, said this through the Ondo State coordinator of NDE, Mr O.M. Adelodun, during the flag-off of MESS of the directorate for 20 participants in Akure.

The objective of MEES is targeted at releasing loan packages to unemployed youths of all categories. It is also aimed at crediting the participants’ accounts with loans to enable them set up their micro businesses.
MEES is an integral part of SSE and NDE has been anchoring this scheme over the years and a greater number of unemployed has been empowered with a view to creating wealth of no small measure.
It is expected that this loan is paid back to enable others in the wanting to also benefit. It is so to say that it is a revolving loan which captures a lot of budding entrepreneurs.
Nigerian Tribune learnt that in Ondo State alone, virtually every community has taken a dose of NDE programmes and scheme. In fact, the NDE had been seen as the largest job creator and the hope of the masses.
The beneficiaries are advised to avail themselves of the opportunity to make judicious use of the loans.
