Some Nigerians have taken to social media to pour encomium on Super Eagles captain and Sivasspor of Turkey forward, Ahmed Musa, over his decision to lower fuel price from N617 to N580 at his filling station in Kano.
In his efforts to reduce the impact of petrol subsidy removal, the former Leicester City forward took to social media recently to announce the new price of fuel at his filling station located along Zaria Road U/Uku in Kano State.
In a post on his verified Twitter account, he wrote, “Fuel #580 @MYCA -7 Filling Station Kano.”
Social media users have, however, reacted to the development by eulogizing the player for his kind gesture.
A Twitter user, @Adollay wrote, “@AhmedMusa718 has always been an example that we Nigerians are good people with a rich culture and love. May Almighty Allah bless you more, boss.”
Another user @Ofudaddy tweeted, “Excellent! Thank you, Alhaji. I have observed that people who amassed their wealth through sheer hard work are more generous than those who stole their wealth. Alhaji Musa, may the blessings of Almighty God continue to rest upon you, Amen. And may others learn from your gesture, amen.”
“Even though I am not benefiting, but am really happy,it shows you really care for we the low income.” @Shegelee005 opined.
“May God continue to bless you more and more! Almighty Allah will always be there for you whenever you need him most sir.” @Albolanty prayed.
Tribune online reports that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) had announced an increase in the petrol pump price to N617 per litre a few days ago, a development that has continued to generate criticism from Nigerians.
