Nigerians have shared interesting actions they would take if a DNA result indicates negative.
A recent report by Tribune Online has ignited a vibrant discussion across social media platforms, as Nigerian men weigh in on their potential reactions to unfavorable DNA test results regarding their children.
Instead of giving up their roles as fathers, many people are openly saying they would care for and support the children, even if they’re not biologically related.
A Facebook user @Folarin Ilara commented, “Will adopt them and still treat them well…but will marry another woman n have my own kids.”
“Nah D.N.A talk am, In as much I brought them up, they are my kids. #shikenah”, @Mykell Sax commented.
@Falola Taiwo Abd’Quadir opined, “ The love I have for the children enough won’t permit me to react negatively. After all people adopt children and still leave a normal life.”

Another Facebook user, @Femi Rufus Adegoju said, “As far as I’m concerned, I won’t for any reason doubt the integrity of my wife by doing DNA test for my children unless I didn’t have sexual intercourse with her for some weeks before she became pregnant! It is better not to know some secret in life than to subject yourself to emotional trauma after knowing some secrets about certain things in life.”
@Daniel Olufunso also reacted, “I won’t even take a DNA test in the first place. Whether they’re my kids or not, I’m okay with what I have, no questions asked.”
@Moses Unwe opined, “I will remarry quickly and raise up my real family and forget about the woman.”
“By faith we were adopted so what’s big deal 👍 it’s all my family, but I don’t need that examination oh 🤣”, @ Emma Asukwo reacted.
@Bayo Adebayo also said, “I won’t do anything, I will not mention it to any of the children. I will continue to give them my fatherly love till the end.”
